Our forever fosters

We take in many dogs who are very old or are very sick and in many cases we foster them until they must go to the bridge. This page is dedicated to those dogs we loved until the end of their days here on earth.

Spotsy was dropped off at Associated Humane in Newark NJ by her family. She was very traumatized by her stay there and they transferred her to tinton falls, where I picked her up. Like so many dogs who are abandoned at shelters, she was totally without emotion and had shut down. She came to our house in Hunterdon County where we discovered that she disliked other animals and was very barrier aggressive. She gradually warmed up to me but continued to dislike other dogs. Gradually, as she became more comfortable, she became extremely possessive of me. She would not let people into our house even while crated. We worked with a behaviorist to try and see if we could exorcise these behaviors but despite our best efforts we could not turn her around. With many tears we gently let her go to the rainbow bridge where she runs free without her monsters.
