Mavis

Updated 4/15/08

My family took me to a kennel and never came back. Do you think they forgot me? I didn't forget them. I was waiting and so scared. I'm now in NJ with my foster mom who took me to the vet. I have some trouble walking and have some medical issues that the rescue is trying to figure out!!!

The bloodwork shows I may have cancer. The vet is going to retest my blood in a week, do some x-rays and tests. My foster mom said I can stay with her until we figure out what is wrong with me. I am not available for adoption just yet but if it wouldn't be too much of a burden, could you just be my sponsor to help with my medical costs?

Love, Mavis.

Update 4/15/08:

Hi! I’m still Mavis although there is a lot less of me. I’ve lost 15 lbs. and I have so much more energy. My foster mom takes me to the park and sometimes I even run a little. I love to go to the park. They don’t give me food everytime I want it though. I don’t know what that is all about. My legs are so much stronger. I can even get up on the couch again. I thought no one loved me but look at all my great sponsors. Thanks Sponsors. I’m going to need blood work every three months to see how everything is going and have to eat special food.

I need some pretty expensive tests so they can figure out what is wrong with me so I can get well again. I'm only 12 years old and deserve a chance at a wonderful life. The rescue is going to be spending a lot of money on me and would greatly appreciate any donations that you can find in your heart to give them. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for them. If you would like to donate through PayPal please click the link at the bottom of the page
Love, Mavis.
