Spring has Sprung, and We Need Your Help

I look forward to spring each year when the flowers begin to bloom and the trees begin to bud. It’s my favorite time of year for many reasons, but with it comes kitten and puppy season. I have been watching a large colony of semi-feral cats grow into a staggering number. They are beginning to show signs of injuries and are breeding completely out of control. SADSAC desperately needs your help to finance the spaying and neutering of these hapless cats. Dear Abby once wrote: “There is no such thing as an illegitimate child, only illegitimate parents.” The owner of these kitties is trying to do a good deed by taking some of them in and leaving food out for all. She can only afford to get one kitty neutered per month. The surrounding neighbors of these ill-fated felines are becoming increasingly annoyed by their spraying and by their sheer numbers. I estimate that this colony tops the one hundred mark. The going is slow. So far I have only been able to capture a few with the owner’s help. Our finances are extremely limited - cost is the main determining factor as to how many we can help. While we are unable to help them all at once, I am determined to make a difference and help as many of these poor creatures as quickly as I can.

As always, SADSAC is most grateful and appreciative, without your support, we wouldn’t be able to help any animals at all.

Sherry, President SADSAC
