Pokey a True Hero!

"I woke up to Pokey barking around 5a.m. one morning. I immediately jumped up and signaled for her to be quiet, then I realized she wasn't sleeping anywhere near her normal sleeping place. Instead she was standing next to my two year old daughter's crib. I again signaled for her to be quiet and then looked into Laeci's crib and noticed she was lying on her stomach and she was breathing funny. I picked her up and could smell vomit. She had thrown up in her sleep and was lying face down in it and was breathing it in everytime she took a breath. Pokey is my hero, I am not sure that my husband or I would have realized the situation if it had not been for Pokey alerting us. I still am not sure how Pokey knew something was wrong with Laeci. Since Pokey is deaf I knew she couldn't here her breathing abnormally but for whatever reason that sweet, beautiful, deaf foster dog of mine possibly saved my baby's life and for that I will forever be thankful to her and she will always hold a special place in my heart."

Pokey is one incredible dog... we don't know who she could have known something was wrong with the baby but she did and it is truly amazing.
