Donations

Donations are used to help cover some of the expenses directly related to caring for these homeless animals. To give you an idea of some of our expenses, below is a breakdown on the average cost we incur to care for just one dog:

• Spay/Neuter: $60
• Cost to Bail from Shelter: $50
• Shots: $25
• Deworming: $30
• Flea Control: $10
• Vet Examine: $30
• Collar and ID-Tag: $10
• Food: $50/month

Besides the basic care cost listed above we incur many other expenses:

• Special medical care (many of our dogs require extensive medical attention, such as broken bone repairs, tumor removals, ear surgeries and eye surgeries)
• Boarding a dog: $15/day
• Grooming a dog: $35
• Special training needs: $100+
• Local newspaper ads for our adoptions days: $30/week
• Phone bill: $50/month
• Other basic cost include leashes, toys, bedding, treats, crates

• Generous supporters whose employers have matching programs
• Good foster homes
• Spay and Neuter gift certificates to ABC (Animal Birth Control located in Lomita)
• Gift certificates to pet boarding facilities in the South Bay area
• Gift certificates to pet groomers in the South Bay area
• Gift certificates to veterinary facilities in the South Bay area
• Gift certificates to pet supply stores (i.e. Petco, PetSmart, Foster&Smiths, etc)

You can make a general donation or if you like you can request that your donation can be directed to go toward a specific category or even for a particular dog's care. Help us save homeless doggies and kitties by recycling your ink and laser Cartridges. Empty ink jets and lasers can be recycled and re-used. For each recyclable cartridge you give us, we will receive up to 4.00 for each ink jet and $1.00 - $12.00 for each laser. It doesn't take long for that to add up. Collect ink cartridges from your work place, friends, family and neighbors and bring them to us! Ink cartridges can be dropped off at our pet adoptions fairs which are held every Saturdays from noon-4pm at the Petco located at 24413 Crenshaw Blvd Torrance CA.
