LUCY

Lucy's story is one of bad luck, for some unknown reason her owners dropped her off at a local animal control that sells to Class B Dealers that in turn sell animals to be used in labs as experiments. More bad luck for this sweet girl, was it was right before a holiday weekend, and this particular Animal Control Officers were not about to keep any dogs, that they did not have to, over the long holiday weekend. But this girl must have had an angel on her shoulder, because a rescuer posted a URGENT plea for her and the others in the Animal Control on the Internet Michigan Dog Rescue List.

One look at her picture and Sherri knew she had to help. It was that Urgent plea that saved all the poor dogs that weekend. Rescue groups from all over Michigan worked together and saved all the dogs that were in jeopardy , even if it was not their special breed, pure breed rescues helping mix dogs and the Class B dealer walked away empty handed.

Lucy was such a sweet tempered mild manner dog, and people from all over showed much interest in her. We are sure her Christmas wish came true, the day Wesley and Marcy came to take her home. Lucy was placed on 2 different rescue sites, under two different names, Wesley and Marcy applied for her at both site not realizing it was the same dog. She will be loved and treasured as all dogs deserve.

Please fight Pound Seizure, so that once loved pets like Lucy will never have to be at risk again.
