Why Spay & Neuter

Katy Bishop's Animal friends is a non-profit, tax exempt organization that was founded in February, 1996. This group helps homeless animals in distress.

For over five years, a small group of people worked together to help animals in need and in jeopardy. Katy Bishop and her sister, Patti Swenski, helped save many animals and provide them with safe and loving home. Katy spent her life helping animals and she was taken from her family at an early age. Katy's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Bishop, wanted Katy's good deeds and name to live on. They paid the cost of the group to become a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. This Status now allows us to earn money to help with our vet costs and other expenses involved with helping homeless animals. Because of this non-profit status, we are able to issue receipts for any donations. This status helps us to help even more animals.

We are very small and there are only a few of us that can foster and the financial burden is very large. All profits made from sales and donations are used to directly help the animals - everyone works on a volunteer basis. Your support is much appreciated.
