FUNDRAISERS:
We were in St. Hyancinth's Spring Bazaar on Saturday,
March 31, - our table did pretty well considering
there were not many customers.
Our next fundraising event will be a plant/rummage/gift/craft
sale on Saturday, May 12. It will be followed 2 weeks
later by another sale on May 26.

We have an authentic, beautifully matted and framed
autographed photo of Chris Osgood, #30, Goal Tender
for the Red Wings Hockey Team. Donated by the
Red Wings on behalf of homeless animals. Matting and
framing was done by The Stitching Well on State Park
Drive. We would like $200 for it but are willing to
take offers. Please call one of the numbers on the
letterhead if you are interested. The Stitching Well
also sells our stick pins.
We now have a booth (#362) at The
Pepper Tree Place to
sell our animal and craft items. We rented the smallest
space for 3 months - want to see how well we do before
we commit further. Marilyn Handsford from Detroit
area is making darling little mice and we also have
a new design of catnip rabbits. These items are at
The Pepper Tree Place, along with stickpins, flag
pins, bead people, other catnip toys, dog toys and
doggie bandannas. Bandannas in the Detroit Lion Football
Logo fabric are now available. Our stickpins are also
sold at Pat's Flowers
on Salzburg Avenue.

General News
Dr. Kevin J. Stachowiak moved to Louisiana. We will
miss seeing him At Ba Animal Hospital and so will
the orphan animals.
Marlene and Trudy attended the non-profit organizations
meeting hosted by The Bay City Times. There we had
a chance to publicly thank Kathy Roberts for her wonderful
Spay Day article in February in The Bay City Times
and for the support extended by the Times on other
events.
Spay Day USA was a big success. In partnership with
Bay Animal Hospital, we were able to spay and neuter
16 animals. BAH donated the vaccinations and we paid
the other costs. We are very grateful for this support
and effort by BAH and as far as we know, they are
the only veterinarian clinic in our area to participates
in this event. Lunch was provided for the staff by
volunteers on Tuesday February 27 - BAH ate heartily.
A Special Thanks
to whoever anonymously
sent several yards of Detroit Lions football fabric
to our post office box. It has been used for several
doggie bandannas and doggie dollies
Wish List - We
are still looking for (1) Red Wing Hockey fabric or
a source where we can purchase it; (2) Jewelry - old,
new, used broken, ect.; (3) Figurines and knickknacks;
(4) Even though we received several bags of stuffing,
we can still use more as the stuffing is used for
dog bone toys (both sizes) and doggie dollies.
Thanks to those of you who made donations in memory
or honor of a loved one or a pet and those of you
who donated just because you wanted to help homeless
animals and give them a second chance at life. Because
of your financial support, Justice was rescued from
a life of misery and will spend his last years of
his life, happy and loved. He is just one of the many
animals you helped - animals that will have love,
food, and shelter and a life with caring people. Thanks
again.
