We desperately need volunteers to take animals to Petsmart on weekends for adoption events.  If you can spare a few hours to help out, please email us asap!

If everyone in the county sent us just one dollar, it would help us continue in our efforts. You'd have our eternal gratitude. Sometimes people wonder where our money goes. Well, we have most of the same bills as the rest of you. We have to pay for electricity, propane, trash pickup, and wood. Plus, we have large pharmaceutical bills, to pay for animals' shots and treatments, and for spays and neuters.

Also, please visit the website often, as there will be fundraising events coming soon.


The Humane Society is collecting used printer ink cartridges and old cell phones. These items are being sent to a recycling program, and we receive a donation! If you'd like to start a collection box in your school or workplace, please email us for more information. We also have drop-off points around central Arkansas:

The Humane Society is constantly in need of many items. Below is a list of the most pressing needs. Donated items may be dropped off at the shelter, seven days a week, between 11am and 4pm at 7600 Highway 183 in Bauxite, Arkansas. Please visit our Map link if you are not familiar with where we are located. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send your check or money order to P.O. Box 305, Benton, Arkansas, 72018-0305. Please do not mail monetary donations to the street address. All of us at the shelter, especially the animals, truly appreciate your support!
