All of our Animal Control Officers are dedicated trained professionals. Their general duties are to protect the public’s health, take care of lost animals and to reunite lost pets with their owners. The job requires investigating all bite cases, reports of cruelty and neglect as well as pick up dead or injured animals. They handle thousands of calls for service and answer numerous questions concerning animals and laws that pertain to them, including licensing of all dogs in City and Borough of Juneau.
