I'm Claudia and I've been involved with pet therapy for many years.
I've had pets all my life,
but it wasn't until a little over ten years ago that I really got involved with them. I had an unruly stray dog and began taking her to obedience classes. It made a world of difference!
I then got a Golden Retriever named Riley that I started training and doing obedience competition.
I now have two black Labs.
They are Taz and Boomer. I've put two obedience titles on Taz and
one on Boomer. Taz also has his Junior Hunter title. I also have a kitten named Toby who is working
to become a therapy cat.
The bond you form when you spend the time
training animals is incredible. If you plan on having a dog, you really need to
be committed to spending time doing basic obedience. Otherwise, you can miss out on so much.
