LETTERS FROM HAPPY ADOPTERS

" Thanks to all of you for all that you do to see to it that the dogs/cats in your care are adopted by loving families, they all deserve more love than they could ever have dreamed of. We love Allie sooooo much!!! "

" I just wanted to drop a line to everyone at the Cabarrus County Humane Society about how grateful I am for the adoption of my dog. Back in January I adopted, formerly known as Precious, a dog that had been in the Kennel since April of 2007. Since I was so excited to have her and even more excited about how wonderful everyone was to me at the humane society I renamed Precious and is now known as Cabearra so that she remained a name sake of where she came from. I cannot tell how much joy she has brought to my life and how happy I am that Cabearra and I have found each other. She has been a great dog from the time I brought her home. She has never had any accidents or caused any problems chewing anything in the house that was not hers. She is very protective of me and follows me wherever I go. We have relocated to Jacksonville, Florida and she is still trying to adjust to the heat but seems to be doing just fine. To the woman that helped me pick her out, I want to thank you very much for remaining open on that snowy day until I showed up because you knew I would be back to get her. I don’t know what I would do without her in my life. "

" Macy is adjusting very well. She's such a lovable pet. She is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. We love her so much. We made a wonderful choice is selecting her. "

"We adopted Levi who is now named Socko. He is the perfect addition to the family. He is the smartest puppy. He never goes potty in the house, he already knows how to sit and we are working on his high five. He loves to go outside and roll in the grass and play with twigs. He loves to snuggle on the couch with the kids and in the bed with my husband and myself. He is staying in the crate for now at night and when we are away. But he loves to jump in the car at 3:30 to pick the older kids up from school. As soon as we pull into the school he jumps up on the window and looks for "his boys". He can't wait for them to get in the car so that he can smother them with kisses. He doesn't make a sound. When we tell him to go to his room he goes right in his crate and lays down. I will send pictures very soon. Thank you all for allowing us to add the perfect addition to our family. "

"I think it’s just wonderful all you do for the animals and the “New Leash on Life” Program. We were both really impressed by the guys, their love for the dogs and their professionalism in handling them. Thank you so much for everything. We’ll keep you all posted on Dottie"

"To all of your wonderful volunteers: I just wanted to write and say thank-you. I adopted Gordie in November 2007. His name is Howie now, and he is a wonderful dog! We just graduated from our basic obedience class, and are entering an advanced class in May (skipping intermediate on the advice of our trainer), hoping to complete the Canine Good Citizen test later in the year...and maybe even get certified as a therapy dog. Howie makes my life complete, and I am so grateful to you for taking care of him before I adopted him! I’ve included a photo of Howie in our big field – he loves long walks! Thank you for everything!."
