Border Collie Rescue of Northern California

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the welfare of the Border Collie. We are active in rescue from shelters and we assist owners who wish to place their dogs.  We depend on donations, adoption fees and profits from the sale of merchandise to take care of the dogs in foster care.  Medical bills run very high and donations are always welcome.  If you would care to make a donation, or need more information, please contact Border Collie Rescue of Northern California or click on Donations.

SOMETHING SPECIAL - This year we are offering custom calendars for those who forgot to send in photos of their dogs.  You can send a photo now and specify the month you would like your dog to appear.  We will add your dog to that month and have the calendar made to order for you.  For more information, please click on custom calendar.

GIDGET is a 4-month-old Border Collie/Aussie pup that needs our help.
She was hit by a car many weeks ago & was turned into a shelter by
someone who found her with a badly broken leg.  The left rear leg was
badly infected with a bone protruding.  Even with all this trauma,
little Gidget showed herself to be a loving, playful, happy pup.  The
shelter took her to a vet right away & the vet determined that the leg
couldn't be saved.  Gidget needs to have the leg removed.  She is
already used to moving on three legs & doesn't seem to notice that she
has an impairment of any kind.  She loves people, other dogs, &
playing with toys.  We have scheduled her surgery to have the leg
removed.  We need donations to help cover the cost of this surgery.
Any amount would help.  Gidget is a loveable, energetic, happy pup,
who will have a wonderful life on 3 legs.  She will be available for
adoption as soon as she has her surgery.

 Foster Homes Needed Are you interested in becoming a qualified foster home? Take the opportunity to give one of our beloved Border Collies a chance for a better life as we continue to take in unwanted, abandoned, and abused Border Collies. You can help by giving them nurturing temporary homes until we find that perfect, loving, "forever" home that each one deserves. We need qualified people to foster these wonderful Border Collies.
