Princeton's
Meow, a comfortable cage-free cat/kitten adoption
site, named after our host (shown here) allows the whole family to make the right match of a feline or two to join
their home. See some photos of how the cats/kits
get a chance to show themselves off at this unique site. Thanks to some generous
donations and efforts of volunteers, their space is even more fun and
enjoyable to visit. Our
address is 29 Brookwood NE- just off Church street and only about a block from the
spay/neuter clinic. Visit us soon, and spread the word. Check out our foster cats also.
| Remember, SPAY & NEUTER - a low-cost clinic is available to ALL - www.cabarrusspayneuter.org | |||
Name: Fancy |
|||
| Fancy has been with us way too long
(you can see Princeton outside her door hoping you'll see how special she
is) - she's a lady of size, beauty and grace - okay and a little
attitude. Though she may not be comfortable being picked up (larger
cats often have that issue - they are nervous that you may not hold them
safely enough, so they'd rather curl around your legs or jump up on a safe
lap on a couch or chair), she really is quite affectionate - on her
terms.
This elegant lady with the walk of a movie starlette is anxious for you to come and consider her. She tolerates other cats and adores people. |

Name: Mai Tai |
|||
| Mai Tai was found scratched and bruised. All of her canine (long front) teeth were broken so there's a guess that she may have been a rare, lucky survivor of being hit by a car (which is just one of the reasons cats shouldn't be outside) or maybe even worse, intentionally kicked in the mouth (some people are cruel). An operation was required to remove the couple teeth that were severely infected (even part of the jawbone removed) But Mai Tai eats both dry and wet food well and she's very affectionate. This sweetie has had a challenged life for being so young. She's ready to help you fill out her adoption contract. Otherwise, she just keeps you company beside you or on your lap. | |||
| Born: 10/01/06 At Shelter Since: 12/1/07 Sex: Female Breed: Domestic shorthair Color (s): Brown Tabby |
|||
| Whiskers is a beautiful lady who loves all people. She's very talkative and will let you know if she needs something special (like extra loving) She'd make a special companion for an individual, but if you want two cats, she'd welcome her sister, Pebbles, to join her. | |||
Name: Leda |
|||
| Leda is a petite black lady - we think she may have some Siamese in her history by the slant of her eyes, but we DO know she's a loving gal who is happy to sit and cuddle or will play like a kitten if that's your choice. | |||
Name:
Pussifer |
|||
| Pussifer is a fun little gal. She's got a rich, thick coat of soft black fur and loves other kitties and just simply loves every person she's ever met. Everyone comments on her huge, round eyes - they're very striking (yet no one has felt she's special enough to make her part of their home. She's enjoying her visit at Princeton's Meow, but would like to know the reality of a forever family to call her own (or she'll share with one or more other animals if you'd like) | |||
Name: Brando |
|||
| Don't let the fangs intimidate you - Brando is a big cuddle-bug - the large "canine" teeth (he hates it when people call them that - c'mon, he's a FELINE!!) are simply part of an improper diet early in his life. Our big, gentle fellow is ready to be your couch potato. (though we've found he loves playing with a laser light so his new year's resolution is to slim down a bit and go home with you. Won't you come meet him soon? | |||
Name: Firefly |
|||
| After being with us since she was just a kitten, Spitfire has been renamed by those of us who spend time with her daily to Firefly. She is really becoming a lovebug. She enjoys spending time with other cats and is learning a lot from each of them. You won't find a more shiny coated kitty either Possibly some Bombay in her heritage, she's anxious to find that forever home that others keep talking about. | |||
Name: Opal |
|||
| Opal has been with us since she was 4 weeks old and found in a dumpster with her more outgoing brother. He was quickly adopted, but Opal's spent time with many other cats both at the shelter and now in the spacious room at Princeton's Meow. Opal needs other cats for companions - they help her adjust to new humans and then she really shows what a delightful kitten she really is. She thrives on treats and playing with laser lights and her best friends have been long-haired kitties, including our own Princeton. She needs a patient home to allow her to make a transition to a forever home, but we're sure the lucky adopter will be rewarded with a beautiful, loving companion | |||
|
Name: Paul Bunyon |
|||
| Paul Bunyon is an exceptionally gorgeous guy, maybe a purebred Norwegian Forest Cat, and just as handsome a cat as you have ever seen. | |||
| Not the greatest photo (but looks like she might be an
Earnhardt fan), but we wanted to show Colleen's unique characteristic -
she's a Manx - no tail (born that way).
This is a sweet, now spayed, lady, with a very sweet purr-sonality. |
|||
|
|
Ventura is about 4 years old and in excellent health. He's a sweet fellow and will make you laugh with his clownish face. Can he share the laugh at your home? | ||
| Below are kittens - under a year (Most have been with us since they were only 8-12 weeks old - now people say they're "too old - we want littler kittens) Adoption fee of $80 will include spaying or neutering - most already done. They've been tested and checked by a vet and have at least their first vaccines (for leukemia, distemper, etc.). They've been dewormed and treated with flea preventative (vet-prescribed, NEVER over-the-counter brands) | |||
